The Mendip Inn is an exciting country pub and coaching rooms concept at the foot of the Mendip Hills, near Glastonbury, owned and run by Michael Porter.

Styled by the talented team behind Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant, The Mendip Inn takes the concept of a great British Pub and adds an exciting, contemporary style of its own, to the food and design, without losing that sense of welcome you receive at the very best pubs. First class service is at the heart of all that we do.

The Mendip Inn offers a fantastic, modern and fresh à la carte menu, seven days a week. We have a weekly specials menu, highlighting local, seasonal produce, cooked to express the flavours of the ingredients, with a twist on exceptional pub recipes. We run two specials offers Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) on our lunch menu which are 2 for £20 on our Ciabattas and 2 for £25 on our Mains and Sundays are, of course, for fabulous traditional roasts.

Lovely food (steaks superb). Service a little slow. Don't like the fact you appear not to have a wine menu, so when the waitress verbally lists the reds you have, we don't know the price of what we're ordering. Very impressed with my starter (butter milk chicken with a dip), main course (streaks cooked to perfection and very tender) and dessert (chocolate torte with champagne sorbet). Well done The Mendip Inn.

Perfect meals for our party of three. (Not had a disappointing meal here yet) Great glass of beer, super helpful staff. The only reason for the atmosphere being marked down was we were eating early, ie noon on a Saturday, so there were less people to add to the feel. However on the credit side it did mean there was space and we could eat in the bar, which I prefer. I love this pub and to sum up it’s a great place to eat and great value.

Delicious Father’s Day lunch for 4 we had the roast Pork loin and the sharing platter - plenty of food for all - no room for pudding unfortunately but they looked wonderful. - We have visited a few times now and never been disappointed! Staff are always friendly and attentive nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

We had a nice meal at The Mendip Inn. The Mains servings were very generous and everyone was so full that we did not have stomach space for desserts. The place was busy and the ambience was really good.
