Our experience in The Meldiz was outstanding from coming through the front door to us leaving. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was exquisite and made to perfection. The portions were plentiful to the point we had to take some home with us. Staff kept checking on us to make sure we were happy and satisfied. Would definitely recommend and we're planning to return.

Our starter plates were taken away from us before we had finished eating as they wanted to serve our main courses, which was rude and very disappointing. The lamb moussaka was a deconstructed mess and didn't look anything like moussaka. The lamb shish was dry and overcooked and had the texture of fried liver. The flavour tasted more like old mutton than lamb and was very overpowering. When we complained about the meal we were told it was customary to cook the shish kebabs well done?! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will certainly never go back again.

Absolutely awful! Service was terrible in many ways. Food was not good at all. The meat was over cooked and cold. The flavours were extremely poor.

Lovely food & good value. Didn't realise the restaurant had been in Basingstoke a good number of years. Definitely recommend

Kind and helpful staff and great atmosphere with relaxing music. I ordered the chicken caesar salad and it was very filling and tasty. I had about 7 pieces of tender chicken breast with nice dressing. I did not order dessert. For drinks I had sparkling water. Overall a wonderful experience and would go again!
