The Mayor’s House By Selda is NOW OPEN! A full service restaurant in the historic The Mayors House home in Bishop Arts District in Dallas’ Oak Cliff. Led by acclaimed chef, Habip Kargin, and serving delicious dishes, kebab, a variety of fish, pilaf, pide, pistachio desserts, and more! We have a patio off the front of the restaurant where we offer hookah. We also have a small patio upstairs with great downtown views. Downstairs we have a full bar, a place for special events.

The restaurant itself is very pretty with beautiful Turkish lamp fixtures. Our waitress was great,and our food was delicious. Make sure you save room for dessert but, be warned, you won’t be able to decide which one to get. Our group of 10 had almost all of them, and everyone said that theirs was delicious. We will definitely be back.

This is a really wonderful jewel! The menu is broad with a focus entirely on Turkish dishes. I highly recommend the lamb chops which were nothing short of amazing. The restaurant is inside an early twentieth century mansion once owned by the last mayor of Oak Cliff. We were seated in front of a large picture window overlooking a grand porch with additional outdoor seating. This is a very romantic and classy restaurant. My only criticism is that the music is a bit loud and overwrought. Reservations are a must to avoid a long wait. A great restaurant!

We were a group of five. We shared several several hors d'oeuvres, two pizzas, and three desserts. Everything was excellent. The ambiance of the historic home made the evening very special.

We grabbed dinner after some meetings at 8pm on a Tuesday - restaurant was busier than expected - food was good not great - we had the Kulbasti but it wasn’t amazing - not bad just didn’t wow me - covered in yogurt and some sauce over the Pita that didn’t really support the meal. Good not great is my summary.

Great experience, I think our waiter was new and being trained. Service was a bit slow but definitely didn’t hinder the great food and ambience.. definitely recommend people give it a try!

2nd time at the restaurant in last 6 months. both times food and staff were excellent. Challenge is it's too noisy. I've pointed this out to management both times. They lowered music a bit. Needs to be much lower, because acoustics aren't good.

Where we were seated was so awkward, in one room next to a party. We felt like we were crashing someone’s event, also took like 20min for anyone to come take our drink order. Overall experience was not good, may try again another time
