    We enjoyed a eye catching, tasty meal and dessert served and attended by kind staff. The occasion was our anniversary and they presented us with a beautiful plate with their sweet wishes on it. Well worth a visit!

    We both had the scotch egg followed by the steak. The food was excellent as was the service. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The only thing that I would say is it is quite expensive. The wines are also quite expensive. However, this is the only criticism we could have as everything else is lovely and would recommend for a special occasion.

    The scallops and steaks were outstanding and service and ambiance first class. We were celebrating our sons engagement and it was a great atmosphere for the occasion

    Food was excellent Service a little slow No check backs or offer of sauces or more drinks Felt was ignored a little. Staff were polite and friendly

I'm extremely sorry you felt that way, this is not how we like to service our customers. I will admit we had some staff shortages due to illness on Monday and the team were not as well equipped as we would have liked.     Bank holiday Monday so a busy day. Parking is difficult with tricky access and small spaces The waitress wouldn't make eye contact when we arrived so we struggled to announce our arrival for our booking. They staff seem pre-occupied with the computer system rather than the customers. The food and drink was great, and the set menu was really good value. There were a couple of guys playing guitar- they were amazing! Lovely pub, wonderful setting. Make the parking spaces bigger and simplify the computer system so the staff focus on the customer experience.

    Hi Keith, I completely sympathise with you with regards to parking, it is what it is I'm afraid. Should we ever come to repaint the lines I will put forward your suggestion.     Really exceptionally good food, perfectly presented. Not cheap, but you do get what you pay for, and I will eat here again.
