Service from the manager was great, very chaty with a few good jokes. Food wasn’t as good as usual but still loverly, soup was tasty. Really wasn’t happy that dogs were allowed in the main restaurant area where owners were feeding their dog under the table and we allowed to be blocking way to exit/tpilet

The setting was large but also cosy at the same time. I must say the food was spot on, every mouthful was so tasty 😋😋Although the service was slow at times, all staff members were very warm and friendly but clearly under pressure and short staffed. And due to this we had to leave our table before we had finished, as our 2 hour slot, had come to an end. It was one of the best Sunday lunches we have had in a very long time. We Will definitely be returning again, to sample other choices on the menu. Many Thanks to all the staff, working so hard in a full restaurant.👏👏👏

Having travelled the world I can honestly say that the Marquis of Granby has surpassed many of the hotels and restaurants I have visited and I would like to highly recommend both this hotel and the restaurant. Both offered me excellent service, comfort and food. My thanks to all concerned. I would add that I am wheelchair bound and their ground floor room/shower were handicap friendly.

A mediocre Sunday lunch, which was a bit disappointing as the food has been excellent in the past. Also, I have realised I was charged for an extra pint of Guinness, which was brought to the table in error. Service was generally pretty good although the “senior staff” need to sharpen up on customer facing skills.

We were a party of six, a family group comprising individuals from 28 years old to 76. We were greeted warmly, our food was delivered promptly and was delicious. And the staff were very pleasant and helpful - thank you.

We enjoyed a eye catching, tasty meal and dessert served and attended by kind staff. The occasion was our anniversary and they presented us with a beautiful plate with their sweet wishes on it. Well worth a visit!
