We loved our dinner at Marlowe! Food, service and ambience were excellent. What a neighborhood gem. Can’t wait to go back!

The Marlowe is located in an old, exposed-brick building that adds to the ambience of this fine dining establishment. They have unique cocktails and interesting entrees available. We had the Woodsman cocktail, which is a take on an old fashioned that is served up in a cocktail glass. For the dinner, we shared a wedge salad followed by the special, which was a tomahawk ribeye. 32 ounces with the bone 24 without, the ribeye was cooked a perfect medium rare, seasoned well and topped with a jalapeño and pickled onion salsa and surrounded by a mole sauce. Everything about it was amazing. We finished with the special dessert, which was a chocolate chip bread pudding topped with caramel and espresso whipped cream, served in a hot cast iron skillet. The cast iron kept the dessert hot to the last bite. The service provided by Peter was top-notch. We were seated in a high-top, which was located near the bar area, so while it was somewhat noisy, it wasn't overly loud. The dining table area was likely less noisy than our area if you want a quieter experience.

One of the best steaks we've had in Knoxville; the 'weekender' was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Melts in your mouth!

As always, The Marlowe was excellent. Our server, Michael was attentive but not overly so, the food amazing and a surprise for us, Tuesday is live music at The Marlowe…very nice soft jazz to accompany our date night out…a perfect evening.
