    Really enjoyed an evening meal here during a recent visit to Sidmouth. A really nicely presented space, with really friendly and welcoming service. Standout dishes were the Mushroom Bhaji starter, and the Ribs for main. They were SPICY and YUM! All topped off with a window seat with a sea view!

    We had a lovely lunch on The Esplanade at The Marine. Service was EXCELLENT! Friendly and accommodating. The food was delish. The view gorgeous. It is our GO TO when in Sidmouth.

    The atmosphere is nice in general but we didn't feel the quality of the beef and chicken burgers were great. My chicken burger was overcooked and difficult to bite in to and my husband said that the beefburger was not great either. Along with having the dearest pint of the holiday in Sidmouth at £7 for Neck Oil we are unlikely to return.

    Staff were great food wasn’t too good Lasagne very tough and not sure what the fried foods were in the seafood platter not nice! The prices don’t reflect the food quality but the staff were great.

    This was our first time visiting the property in the many years we have visited Sidmouth. Recall it was a sports type bar for many years. Now that it has been converted to a more foodie place we will return.

    The red Thai curry was a huge disappointment. For a start it wasn’t red Thai and was full of whole star anise and pak choi stalks, secondly the naan was shop bought, thirdly the ‘wild rice’ was microwave basmati. Overall the taste was acidic and unpleasant and I couldn’t eat it.

    Food was excellent as always and good value for money. Drinks: lack of a good real ale, and the other beer is expensive. Noisy hand drier noise from the ladies loo because of a broken door that didn't close, our table was right next to it. Staff great Overall: very good, will be back there soon.
