A return visit with my wife at lunchtime to this bistro-type restaurant. Welcomed as soon as we walked in and taken straight to our window table as requested when we booked. Service with a smile, all very efficient and without fuss despite a nearly full house. Excellent food and as before - ordered one dish from the specials and one from the main menu, both excellent, generous portions and beautifully presented. Minor observation - just a slightly wider choice from the menu would be appreciated although if that meant a drop in quality and service I could live with that. What we particularly enjoyed was the easy, continental ambiance with diners of all ages obviously quite at home - babes in arms welcomed, as were well-behaved pets. A restaurant that's a rare find these days - and unusually for us we left an appreciative over-generous tip.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming we cannot fault any of them! The food was just a little disappointing, we had fish and chips and the fish was really small and was mainly batter, chips were good though! The fish platter was all deep fried and then some smoked fish, it would have been better if there was some fresh grilled fish or something to balance out the fried stuff. Great location by the beach and nice atmosphere!

We took one new diner with our party who was really impressed. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great for all ages and occasions. Fab place to have on Sidmouth’s sea front.

Upon arrival service was great and we were allocated our requested table. We ordered pizzas and salad. Sadly the pizza was disappointing, very tough base which required determined cutting with very blunt cutlery - not a great experience. Table service became non existent, we were not once asked how the food was and we were forced to go to the bar to order further drinks… I will not be rushing back.
