Afternoon Tea can be booked online or direct at the hotel. Please note that 24 hours notice is needed to book an afternoon tea.

The Manor Restaurant at Best Western Chilworth Manor has recently undergone a full refurbishment and is available for hotel residents and non-residents alike. Pre-booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

Afternoon Tea is served between 12:30pm and 3:30pm daily.
Dinner reservations can be made between 6pm and 9pm.

                      We booked a table for our daughter and her boyfriend to celebrate end of exams and prom and they went in their outfits. They had a fantastic time ordered afternoon tea and they loved all the food. Thank Chilworth Manor for a brilliant experience for them.

                      I thought there was a distinct lack of choice. Would rather have had the bar food, better choice and looked more appertising.

                      Food was amazing, I had the sea bass which was outstanding, partner had steak and it was done perfectly. Can’t say anything other than we loved it..

                      Internally the restaurant and hotel are in lovely freshly updated condition, however the grounds and exterior are somewhat neglected

                      The bar food was hotel prices for sub-standard quality. I had fish and chips and the fish batter was rubbery and tasteless. The service was terrible, no cutlery was brought to the table, we had to ask for a knife and fork, not condiments were offered. The breakfast was ok, but, again the hashbrowns were rubbery. We was not offered pots of tea or coffee. We were told we could order an omelette and when I asked what fillings I could have, I was told anything... I had to assume cheese was ok, maybe I should have asked for salmon? The main restaurant was better - better quality food. The service was still lacking though with condiments not offered and no spoons for desert. I was going to order the chocolate torte for pudding but tables around me were having difficulty using their spoon in it, where it was so hard, so I am glad I went for the sticky toffee pudding - which was delicious. The first glass of prosecco at dinner was less than half full - in the flute - the 2nd glass marginally more. After a 10 minute wait at the bar for drinks on the Friday evening, we gave up & returned to our room. The hotel & restaurant were informed that it was my birthday meal/stay, which was acknowledged at check-in, yet there was no acknowledgement during the meal - rather disappointing. We overheard staff saying that they had 5 agency staff working Thursday evening, this may be why service was poor, but not the guests fault. The Hotel was nice and some of the grounds were tidy. Other areas were rather unkept but I am sure it was spectacular in its day. The gardens need some TLC for sure.

                      The waiter who served us for afternoon tea was outstanding. He made us feel very welcome and could not do enough.

                      Lovely afternoon tea with family to celebrate a birthday. Staff attentive. Delicious sarnies and scones. Relaxed and comfortable environment. Definitely book again.
