The Malt Shovel is a family owned independent pub in Hartshill, Nuneaton
We open 7 days a week, have a great selection of beer, ales, ciders and wines and serve delicious from 12pm daily. We also have our outdoor Aspalls Area with its electronic retractable roof and sides we have you covered come rain or shine. Our team pride ourselves on offering a warm and friendly atmosphere and we hope to see you soon.

Great food and very good value for money but I felt the portions of food were to big I could not eat all the food on the plate.

I have never been disappointed when I have had a meal here, service is great food is Amazing tastes beautiful and with the huge portions I'm never left hungry. Our go to local for food.

This was our second time and both times really good, point of beer not good so they replaced no problem. Good was excellent and hot, large portions. Very satisfied. We will be back

We enjoyed eating at The Malt Shovel, the menu was very varied, the food was very good and there was plenty of it. We thought it was value for our money. It is a welcoming and comfortable place to meet with your friends.

Our first time visiting The Malt Shovel, but it certainly won’t be our last. The menu was extensive, including plenty of good quality vegetarian and vegan options (a rarity for most pubs in this area). The portion size was very generous, both for the starters and main courses. The staff were all very polite and attentive. We couldn’t fault the food at all. Looking forward to our next visit already!
