The Malt Shovel is a family owned independent pub in Hartshill, Nuneaton
We open 7 days a week, have a great selection of beer, ales, ciders and wines and serve delicious from 12pm daily. We also have our outdoor Aspalls Area with its electronic retractable roof and sides we have you covered come rain or shine. Our team pride ourselves on offering a warm and friendly atmosphere and we hope to see you soon.

All way a bang on meal the steak is all way the best cuts and the real ale is keep right we no we can walk away with full belly's and a smile on your face so thank u to all the staff see u next time

Lady who seated us & took food and drinks order and the Waitress’s who delivered the meals were both faultless, lovely inviting and very pleasant

Great food just service could of been a bit better, seems to me since opened up the outside bit not enough staff. But food was as always spot on

Loads of menu choices and lovely hot food served by very friendly and welcoming staff but me and my wife both thought that the chips were a little bit over cooked however there were very big portions. Very nice and comforting surroundings and very friendly staff only parking was very limited but plenty of parking on roadside further up the road.

Great food and very good value for money but I felt the portions of food were to big I could not eat all the food on the plate.

I have never been disappointed when I have had a meal here, service is great food is Amazing tastes beautiful and with the huge portions I'm never left hungry. Our go to local for food.
