The Malt Shovel is a family owned independent pub in Hartshill, Nuneaton
We open 7 days a week, have a great selection of beer, ales, ciders and wines and serve delicious from 12pm daily. We also have our outdoor Aspalls Area with its electronic retractable roof and sides we have you covered come rain or shine. Our team pride ourselves on offering a warm and friendly atmosphere and we hope to see you soon.

was a problem with table i booked as i didnt realise it was outside. but they were very accommodating and seated us inside. steak was cooked to perfection. the roasts were very nice and lots of meat. very enjoyable meal. staff were very friendly. deffo be back soon

Restaurant is lovely but quite compact , tables layout very close to each other , food was very nice , quite big portion , with nice presentation . Staff nice and quick service . Extremely small parking that’s the only 1 down factor .

Cannot recommend the Shropshire blue steak enough… delicious 🤤 👏🏻 I have been a handful of times now and always say I will have something different, but never do! Great menu with lots of variety to suit all!

Amazing as always thanks to all the staff. Most consistent pub for lunch and dinner you can find in nuneaton it’s our go to place for food.
