New menu and the food was excellent. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return

Our experience was shocking! We had a table booked no one told us there was a time limit on the carvery either when I booked or sat at our table. Sat at our table ordered our drinks and food. 1 person ordered carvery and 3 of menu. After about an hour and a half, my Husband went to the bar to find out where our meals were. To be told we'd had them, and the carvery was closed. The person having carvey was offered 2 slices of meat and mash from the carvery which was cold. We got no apology from any staff. We got our money back. I will not ever return or recommend this place.

Even though we ate later than usual the carvery was lovely. It was quite full and everyone was enjoying themselves. All of my party enjoyed their meal, staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Definitely go back .

Lovely carvery on Sunday, I wish that the mint sauce was placed elsewhere though as had to go back up the line to get some once I had everything on my plate. A little squashed in... But made a lovely change going to the Mallard and I will definitely go back 😊

I visited with my Husband and children for Mother’s Day and it was lovely, the staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious, we had carvery and burger meals & desserts, thank you :-)

The food was awful, SundayCarvery, insufficient meat on Normal size, parsnips undercooked almost raw, Roast Potatoes (frozen?) overcooked on outside mushy mash on inside, Mashed potatoes undercooked and full of raw lumps! Meat on large size was a better amount after I asked for more (your are only allowed two slices on the normal and four on the large) but it was dry and tasteless. Peas were the only edible part of the meal! Staff were too busy discussing there previous nights experiences to show any interest in our enjoyment, or otherwise of the food! Won’t be back!

Very disappointed as this place was highly recommended to me. Carvery was really poor. My youngest daughters chicken nuggets were overcooked and came out like 6 pebbles. Cant fault the staff for their pleasant manner and helpfulness. Such a shame. I'd like to hope this was a one off.

Took ages to get served and the food took a long time to come out. The chips were soggy, chicken strips were hard and the nachos were very greasy. There were children were running around unsupervised, I don't think we'll go again.

Guinness wasn't poured correctly as they were apparently having issues with it, meat on the carvery was dried out. Just wasn't up to the standards that I've had before there. Not even a check back to see if everything was OK. On this visit I wouldn't suggest the place to friends I'm hoping this was just a 1 off and it gets back to the good standards I know it has.
