    On entering we were welcomed by a young lady with champagne. After being seated Iris introduced herself and proceeded to explain how the menu is different from other restaurants. You have three services the first an appetizer for each if you wish. The second is a dish for two and the same for the third. As we had a wine we had Iris take our picture as we told her it was our anniversary dinner. The first course was a shrimp dish with hazelnut purée. Before we got the next course we were presented with a complimentary tuna tartare dish. The second course was a scallop in a light sauce. Third was a veal chop done perfectly. I asked if there was a dessert menu, but there is none. However we were surprised with a parfait with gelato, strawberries and white chocolate. It was unbelievable and totally unexpected. After each dish the utensils were replaced and we had a great discussion with both Iris and Vincenthe chef. Very pleased with all aspects of the dining experience. Will definitely return. Well worth the time and expense.

    I have been here twice. The food was delectable! The service was impeccable! There is no restaurant quite like this. I can’t wait to go back.

    I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the menu choices made. The yellowfin and Hamachi choices were delicious. Additionally, the asparagus option and then beet and tomatoes salad were really good. Ultimately the NY Strip was delicious and served with the appropriate sides.. what was really cool was the initial prosecco drinks upon entering the restaurant, the staff was super attentive and having the chef come to the table multiple times really made it special.. I would highly recommend and intend on visiting again very soon.

    The attention to detail was wonderful and the personalized service was much appreciated. All that on top of excellent food made our graduation celebration dinner perfect. Thanks so much!!

    The scallops and the strip steak were outstanding! We also loved the Prosecco as we waited just a short moment for our table and the delicious fruity and creamy frozen dessert that came with the meal! A very nice evening.

    I truly regret that this was only my first time at Luke Brasserie. The family and I came for a special occasion on a Thursday. By unanimous consent, this is our new favorite restaurant in New Haven. Started with a complimentary prosecco while waiting for the table to be prepared... nice touch and a good start. The menu is geared towards sharing which worked really well for us, since we like to try different things and are always picking at each others plate. What really made this work though was the service. After each plate, a server would swoop in and quietly replace the plates and silverware. They were very knowledgeable about the plates and recommendations were spot on. But the food is the star in this restaurant. It's gourmet without being pretentious. We had: Hamachi and tuna seared with brown butter plates to start. Both were fantastic, Tuna was dramatic. Polenta with cheese and truffle and rigatoni plates for the second round. Polenta was rich and creamy and truffley. Rigatoni was spectacular, sauce was creamy but had something I couldn't put my finger on that just seemed to elevate it. Mabey it was just cooked perfectly... I dont know. Along the way we were given a complementary plate of white asparagus by the chef. This might have been the best plate. Served with some kind of emulsion and cheese on top. Main dish, the 4 of us were getting full at this point, was the snapper. Capers, olives, butter, those little broccoli rabe buds (I think). Cooked perfectly, super subtle taste, and delicious. At the end of the meal, complimentary desert of strawberry ice with a dollop of mascarpone. This was the best meal I've had in the US for years and is now our go-to spot in New Haven. This place is the real deal 4 people, $260 with tip and drinks. Not cheap but excellent value IMO considering the quality.

    Even on Mothers Day, Luke was able to deliver the most amazing meal! The restaurant was super busy due to Mother’s Day so there was a delay in getting food, but we were provided a complimentary dish to hold us over. It was a bit loud in the restaurant, but I’m also tripping that to a packed house for Mother’s Day. Will be back for sure.
