Aimee Olexy and Stephen Starr's The Love is a bi-level sanctuary features 150 seats, split between the main dining room, sidewalk seating, and an upper-level loft. The restaurant is a spirited and carefree neighborhood café celebrating everyday American cuisine.     Evening didn't start off great, as they sat us 20 minutes late for a 7:30 reservation. I get that this happens and is out of the restaurant's control, but at least acknowledge it with an apology or a free appetizer or something? Next, we really enjoyed our drinks and the appetizers, but the entrees came out slow and separate. Two of the five diners received their entrees significantly earlier than the rest, so their food started to get cold. Again, I get that this happens, but 10+ minutes separation in serving is a bit too long for this expensive of a restaurant (and it wasn't particularly busy this late in the evening). Also, it was so loud in this restaurant that we could hardly hear each other. I'm 30 and have decent hearing! In terms of the food, I rarely eat vegetarian but was in the mood, so I had the plant power bowl, and it tasted like a can of curry broth and some mixed veggies. Not worth $30. Two other diners had the Lovebird friend chicken and gave pretty mediocre reviews. Again, not worth $33. This place is in a good location and would probably be great for a business meal, but I wouldn't recommend having a special evening here. There are too many other good options in the city.

    Excellent service and the food was absolutely amazing! The staff goes above and beyond to meet and exceed your expectations. Would not hesitate to recommend the Love for an intimate and romantic date night or for a great dinner with friends.

    Our server Michaela was thorough, welcoming and cheerful. Amanda offered a great wine paring for our dishes. Food and staff always exceed expectations. This is our go-to brunch spot in Rittenhouse.

    The drinks were very good and our meals were delicious. The space was a bit cramped and could not hear the music well due to loud talking. But overall a pleasant experience. Service was superb!
