This was our first much anticipated visit to the Lounge Club for Sunday lunch. First impression was that access was not obvious. The waitress had no idea which wines were available and had to shout over to the barman to find out. Orders taken, no option to have the Sirloin roast cooked to our preference although we did request it. The ambiance was slightly too dark even with the multicolour light on the table. Seating was very comfortable though. The piano player would have been a great addition had they have played some appropriate music not the manic music played. Wrong food brought to our table even though there was only one other table in the restaurant. Our starters were served promptly but the soup was not what we were told it was, supposed to be leek and potato but mushroom soup was served, all delicious though. Main course was served and was such a disappointment. The Sirloin roast was so well done and tough, string still attached as if it had been cooked so long ago and just warmed up with gravy. The vegetables were so hard and inedible and all smothered in gravy. The chicken looked good but was in fact tough and dry. We did give feedback but no response, there were by now only 3 tables and it would have been nice that our feedback was actually responded to. All in all a very disappointing outing such a shame as we had heard really good things about the food.

Had a lovely meal . Staff were very attentive . Food was lovely looked as good as it tasted all my guest were impressed . Defiantly go back for more . Didn’t know they were so close a hide. Gem
