A traditional pub serving contemporary English food in the heart of Fitzrovia. The Lore is composed of The Pub on the ground floor, The Kitchen on the first floor and Private room with bar on the top floor.

All of our food is freshly prepared by Head Chef Michal Kaszuba and his brigade in the Lore kitchen on the first floor. Our menus have been created especially to reflect the seasons, when ingredients are at their very best.
Our legendary Sunday roast is slow-cooked with delicious trimmings.

THE PUB
A copper and pewter topped bar serving a range of beers, including our very own Gritchie brews, premium spirits, cocktails and selected wines. The walls are adorned with eclectic and original artwork.

THE KITCHEN
Open plan but still intimate. Experience the sight and sound of our open kitchen with the Chefs cooking on our bespoke, charcoal fuelled oven and char-grill.

THE PRIVATE ROOM
A wonderful private room with private bar on its own floor.

This is a must! We loved the atmosphere and vibe of this authentic pub ( but modernised) . I have tricky food allergies and this was accomodated with no problem. Friendly staff, loved watching the open kitchen , clean toilets!

Excellent 1st visit to Lore of the Land for a business lunch. Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Menu is broad and balanced and caters for all tastes. Attentive staff throughout our visit with excellent knowledge of the menu and were able to provide recommendations. A must visit!

Have eaten in the LOTL several times now and love it - this time the service wasn't great which was noticed by our guests - hopefully just a one off

So the pub down stairs was lively and characterful however the food was over priced. I had the rack of lamb ( 2 tiny chops. ) in a sea of peas. Not with the money. The steak was very pricey but good quality. The service was delayed and they didn’t bring the steak choices board over until we had already chosen our meals so not a great sakes ploy there! However the pink spuds were absolutely lush . The lore doughnut was great and the wine was good . Over all I’d come back but not in a hurry

Really well sourced and considered menu. Everything was cooked well and very delicious. Staff were very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. Thank you for making my partners birthday so special we had such a great time.

Amazing food. Much more impressive than I expected but I should have paid attention more to the reviews! Or at least not been so suspicious of them… great atmosphere. Nice surroundings. Great staff and top food. Only complaint is the portions of the mains are a little small ( I ate two and a side to feel full after an entree.) nice beers. Ok wine list by the glass. Maybe a couple more options would be better
