A traditional pub serving contemporary English food in the heart of Fitzrovia. The Lore is composed of The Pub on the ground floor, The Kitchen on the first floor and Private room with bar on the top floor.

All of our food is freshly prepared by Head Chef Michal Kaszuba and his brigade in the Lore kitchen on the first floor. Our menus have been created especially to reflect the seasons, when ingredients are at their very best.
Our legendary Sunday roast is slow-cooked with delicious trimmings.

THE PUB
A copper and pewter topped bar serving a range of beers, including our very own Gritchie brews, premium spirits, cocktails and selected wines. The walls are adorned with eclectic and original artwork.

THE KITCHEN
Open plan but still intimate. Experience the sight and sound of our open kitchen with the Chefs cooking on our bespoke, charcoal fuelled oven and char-grill.

THE PRIVATE ROOM
A wonderful private room with private bar on its own floor.

Absolutely the best Sunday roast!!!! Honestly cannot find fault with any aspect of our visit, the decor, atmosphere, food obviously but the service and staff are what shined the brightest!! So warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, attentive without being over bearing - best birthday lunch made even more perfect by the most delicious doughnut complete with birthday candle as a surprise 😋😋😋 we’ve rebooked for this time next year and can’t bloody wait!! 😃😃

It took long time the food to serve. We came at 12.30 good was served like 14.25 it’s a long time to wait .. the food was very tasty and the waitress was really good .. very interesting but took long time was very hungry.. its good to be told at the begging that how long the food will serve that way customer will know .. thank for the lovely afternoon

Food was really good, good portion sizes. We were awre that there was a large party upstairs and so were prepared for the wait which wasnt a problem. We had a few issues... chapagne wasnt nearly cold enough so we sent it back to be chilled. It was acceptable whhen we asked for it again. We had to ask for ice a couple of times. Server was a little disengaged and didnt really interact with us at all . Fizzy water was £5.50 and then they charged us for a bottle of still water when we were drinking tap water! It was a birthday occaision and they were aware but there was no birthday donut as requested £55 charged for service which wasnt up to scratch.

Great sunday roast, we opted for pork and a lamb/beef combo but got very little lamb sadly. Flavors were amazing and staff were also good. But sad about the meat.

This is our 3rd time here, the food, the staff were fantastic,, the food was outstanding even better than the last time, the staff always friendly and make you feel very welcome, already booked again 😀

We arrived 10 minutes early and were told we had 1 hour 30 minutes but wouldn’t be rushed. Took 25 minutes for someone to take our order and by the time the desserts came out we were told we had to leave within 15 minutes as someone else was taking our table. Starters were very good, roast was disappointing, burnt Yorkshire’s and very watery gravy, veg very basic, would expect better on an adult meal. Had to approach staff for a second drinks order while 3 members cleaned the same table together. Felt very rushed towards the end, didn’t even have time for cheese and biscuits. Don’t take cash which is also disappointing. This is just our opinion, but will not be rushing back.
