A traditional pub serving contemporary English food in the heart of Fitzrovia. The Lore is composed of The Pub on the ground floor, The Kitchen on the first floor and Private room with bar on the top floor.

All of our food is freshly prepared by Head Chef Michal Kaszuba and his brigade in the Lore kitchen on the first floor. Our menus have been created especially to reflect the seasons, when ingredients are at their very best.
Our legendary Sunday roast is slow-cooked with delicious trimmings.

THE PUB
A copper and pewter topped bar serving a range of beers, including our very own Gritchie brews, premium spirits, cocktails and selected wines. The walls are adorned with eclectic and original artwork.

THE KITCHEN
Open plan but still intimate. Experience the sight and sound of our open kitchen with the Chefs cooking on our bespoke, charcoal fuelled oven and char-grill.

THE PRIVATE ROOM
A wonderful private room with private bar on its own floor.

We were greeted and seated early and everything seemed perfect. We were offered still or sparkling for the table and the drinks list explained. We then had a new waiter and things went a bit slow from here. It took around 20mins to order our starter, parfait and the scotch egg. We finished and then waited about 10minutes for our plates to be taken away. The table next to us had thier wine constantly topped up so wasn't sure why our plates couldn't be taken with the bottle. Our roasts arrived and these were delicious. A good 9 out 10, 1 mark deducted for the veg being cold. Again our plates took ages to be cleared. We had a doughnut to share which was nice but again then waited a while for that plate to go and to get the bill. The food was great, can see why there is a waiting list for Sunday however felt the service let it down quite a bit.

Best Sunday lunch I’ve had and service was wonderful too. We will be back to explore more of the menu.

Incredible service at this pub and restaurant last night. Must haves are the steak, caramel donut and bread & butter.

Really enjoyable meal. Pub is great. Beer fabulous and starters good. Steak excellent. Weak spot was the soda bread and focaccia. Both very dry. Pretty tasteless. Focaccia heated in oven but was stale. It’s supposed to be bouncy! Service great.

Delicious and inventive menu. Great drinks menu and thoroughly enjoyed the chilled Valpolicella with our meal. Bar and restaurant staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.

What a great place. The food was delicious and the staff were very polite, attentive and friendly. Buzzy atmosphere, would easily go back.
