This was our first visit to the area, and thus first time at The Lord Nelson - it certainly won't be the last of either! We had a lovely meal last night - food was excellent, and a special treat for me was the home-made gluten free bread. All food was excellent (unfortunately we couldn't manage a dessert) and the staff were so friendly - a lovely happy vibe throughout our time there. Lovely ambience, very smart decor and just a really great evening - thank you to all who made this possible, you're a great team!!

Very nice experience, 3 of us went and were all very happy with what we ate and drunk. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. This is a bit of a hidden gem as we found it while travelling around. Will be coming back very soon!! Highly recommend

Had a fabulous meal last night. Crab salad was delicious - home made bread to die for - special shout out to Joe for that. It was burger night & my husband said the chicken burger was excellent. Lemon posset with homemade shortbread & Albion cake for afters 😋. The evening was very enjoyable as Kerry, Marc & I wish I could remember her name were all superb in the restaurant/bar. So friendly, pleasant, fun & efficient - you don’t see it that often these days but these made it a really pleasure to be there. Won’t hesitate to return when in the area again & would definitely recommend.

We went for the Tuesday Burger deal and couldn’t fault it. Great taste and amazing value. Grab it while it lasts!
