    Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, exceptional food! What a gem of a place, steeped in history yet despite its age, this restaurant/pub is a local delight, easily accessible but tucked away like a treasure simply waiting gracefully to be unearthed. A true testament to history.

    Very disappointed with the very limited menu. Presentation and quality of food was poor and did not live up to our expectations given the amazing location .

    Food was disappointing, with dishes off main menu dry and appeared reheated. Burgers from Burger night menu were ok but basic. Main waiter was entertaining, but unfortunately this didn’t make up for the poor food. If you want a simple burger and beer then this place is for you. If you want a proper pub experience with good food then go elsewhere.

    Really lovely place, has a very large beer garden at the back which was very nice. We ate in the dining room the food was superb excellent value for money, the service was great the staff were very friendly nothing to fault at all! We will definitely be going back.

    A fantastic experience, food portions were excellent value for money and the service impeccable. Definitely going back!
