We sat inside, the setting was lovely, the waitress was so polite and really made us feel welcome.

A poor experience ,no pinot Grigio rose wine ,only enough for a small glass .No prawns for prawn cocktail ,and none to go on sea bass main course.The restaurant area was empty except for 4 other diners who were finishing there meals .

I write this review with a heavy heart - the food wasn’t great, in fact forgetful. Having ordered two main meals - Crispy beef Thai Salad and The Nomad burger we were so disappointed. The Crispy Beef Salad - Asian Slaw, coriander, roasted tomato, sesame, chilli. £ 15.50 It was just Crispy Beef - no Asian slaw, coriander, roasted tomato, sesame or chilli to be seen - just plain salad and a few tomatoes. Very tasteless, bland and not value for money at all. A very expensive salad! The Nomad Burger (fries extra!) - £16.50 - the chicken was dry, chewy, greasy and over cooked, sadly fries not included and paid an additional £4 - so in total £20.50 which is not value for money, absolutely no garnish and tasteless I’m not one to complain however to compete with other pubs in the area there has to be some thought into how food is cooked, presented and to be memorable . This was not and we will not be returning or recommending.

Delicious food with generous portions served by friendly smiling staff. Didn't have to wait long and they accommodated our request for a different sauce option. Can't fault anything!

Newly decorated, bright, colourful & contemporary. We enjoyed drinks in the garden, where the waiter came to take our order & kindly informed us once dinner was prepared. All our dishes were delicious & beautifully presented with attentive & friendly service. The steak pie & fish + chips were firm favourites & truly healthy portions & tea & coffee was served with the chef's scrumptious signature shortbread. Thank you Nomad Lord Combermere.

Quiet on the day, perhaps because the football. But disappointing in overall terms, which is a shame. In particular, the broccoli was inedible on all three plates as it was burned/smoke damaged (I imagine through having no water in whatever it was cooked in - I know this as I’ve done it myself and pan fumes have a very distinctive taste!). We will try here one more time as maybe it was just an off day.

Greeted by the friendly landlady Rachel very welcoming and friendly. Our first visit here since the new owners took over. Menu varied and we both enjoyed our meals. Great wine list with many by the glass. We will certainly return. Can thoroughly recommend.

Last time we went here, I am sure it was a chain. But now the food is original, tasty and not especially over priced. We will come again and will recommend it to others.
