Lovely meal and a varied menu. Our waitress was efficient and friendly and service was great. The only disappointment was the bottle of wine we wanted was not available but there were plenty of others to choose from. The new owners have made a good job of raking over the pub.

Brilliant night tonight at the The Lord Combermere, the most fabulous steak, kudos to chef Reece, honestly better than the ones I have had from a certain steak establishment (M&C...) served by the lovely Beth. Much gin happiness at their newly extended range, can wholeheartedly recommend the blood orange and raspberry varieties, thanks Zach for keeping me hydrated ;) . Finally got to try the parmesan and truffle fries which were delicious but will have to try again as didn't realise I could get them as the thicker chip variety which was actually what I had been dreaming about!! Any excuse, huh?

We visited twice whilst o a Canal boat holiday from Overwater Marina. Both times the staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. The food was very good and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We have a boat moored at the marina, so will be back again. I thoroughly recommend it.

Booked in advance but had to sort out a table when we got there. Service slow and poor, Air conditioning unit decided to poor water over my wife - received no apologies just some kitchen towel! They then asked if we wanted to move table - what a shambles! Waitresses not friendly at all. Only plus was food was reasonable. Will definitely give it a miss next time.

We sat inside, the setting was lovely, the waitress was so polite and really made us feel welcome.

A poor experience ,no pinot Grigio rose wine ,only enough for a small glass .No prawns for prawn cocktail ,and none to go on sea bass main course.The restaurant area was empty except for 4 other diners who were finishing there meals .

I write this review with a heavy heart - the food wasn’t great, in fact forgetful. Having ordered two main meals - Crispy beef Thai Salad and The Nomad burger we were so disappointed. The Crispy Beef Salad - Asian Slaw, coriander, roasted tomato, sesame, chilli. £ 15.50 It was just Crispy Beef - no Asian slaw, coriander, roasted tomato, sesame or chilli to be seen - just plain salad and a few tomatoes. Very tasteless, bland and not value for money at all. A very expensive salad! The Nomad Burger (fries extra!) - £16.50 - the chicken was dry, chewy, greasy and over cooked, sadly fries not included and paid an additional £4 - so in total £20.50 which is not value for money, absolutely no garnish and tasteless I’m not one to complain however to compete with other pubs in the area there has to be some thought into how food is cooked, presented and to be memorable . This was not and we will not be returning or recommending.
