Welcome to The Longs At Steeple Ashton

Set in a 16th century courthouse with an English heritage feel in the picturesque village of Steeple Ashton. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly welcoming atmosphere to all. We focus on seasonal produce and provides a warm welcome to everyone, including four-legged friends. Our chefs have an obsessive commitment to offering the finest pub food delivering a memorable culinary experience.

Our large, rear garden is a sanctuary for all. Open in the warmer months, we offer an al-fresco dining experience complete with covered pegodas, heaters and deckchairs.

The Longs is located in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside - a stone's throw away from many local attractions and landmarks. From exploring ancient ruins and stately homes to hiking through scenic trails, there are lots of interesting activities for those looking for things to do in this idyllic corner of England.

We were a table of 8, ordered mains only. Service was really slow, forgot one of the drinks with the initial order. Food took an hour to come . £18 for the vegetarian option Caesar salad is overpriced for what you get : lettuce, dressing and 4 croutons certainly not worth the money . Such a shame as we want to support our village pub

Well above average pub restaurant. We had a very pleasant evening meal in the bright window seat at the front. We were 5 adults. The waitresses were especially friendly and helpful and made the evening all the more enjoyable.

We went for lunch at The Longs and as a vegan eating out can sometimes be a bit hit or miss. The choices at The Longs were definitely a hit. The food was superb. The service was excellent and this will be our 'go to' pub now going forward.

Very nice food, reasonably priced. Although disabled access is restricted at the front entrance. Dessert prices are a little high. Recommended

Took my parents for Mother’s Day. Service was good and food was tasty but the beef & vegetable portions were on the small side. The pub decor & ambience is very nice. A wine list on the table would be a welcome addition. All of this being said I would still visit again.

This was our first visit with the new menu. We went for Sunday lunch in the bar and there were six of us. Lovely food, atmosphere and great service.

Service was friendly but very slow; almost 2 hours to get the main courses and when it arrived, it was cold. Also mistakes on the bill. Was ‘opening night’ so possibly just teething problems.

Booked for a Sunday roast with my wife and what a great meal it was. Good service, attractive venue. Will be returning. Cost of our 2 courses £31.50 per head, including drinks. Good value.
