It was my first time there and we greatly enjoyed our 3 course meals. Best steak I've ever had and excellent mocktails. Just a bit confusing finding the entrance with the pub right there. Other than that. A beautifully renovated building the lodge is really nice in Brookwood.

Has anyone else heard this line before? “Order your main course now because a table of 30 just arrived, and it could be a long wait.” The last time we dined here, we were told the exact same thing, which felt odd. That time, we ordered as suggested, but the main course arrived while we were still eating our appetizers, creating a cluttered and rushed dining experience for our table of four. Last night, we heard the same line again. This time, we insisted that our main course should not arrive until we had finished our appetizers. The server reassured us, saying, “No worries, I won’t put the order in until after you get your appetizers.” But that reasoning didn’t make much sense—how would that help us beat the supposed rush of 30 people ordering at the same time? In the end, our main courses did arrive about 10 minutes after we finished our appetizers, which seemed like good timing—except they weren’t hot. The sablefish and lobster ravioli were lukewarm at best, with some parts already cold. And let’s be honest, seafood dishes like that are not enjoyable when they’re anything less than piping hot. Needless to say, we skipped dessert and after-dinner drinks. It’s disappointing when a restaurant gets the timing so wrong, especially twice in a row. Would you give them another chance, or is this a deal-breaker?

Always one of the best Chicago blue steaks I’ve had in a restaurant! And their espresso martinis are delicious. We will definitely be back!

The food and service were great. It was difficult to have a decent conversation as the music was quite loud and everyone around us had to almost yell to be heard by their table.

Service, food, everything was great…we’ve dined here before. Only negative was that my husband, whose birthday we were celebrating, ordered a brownie for dessert but what came was a crème caramel. It was delicious but not what he ordered.
