Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

    Service was extremely slow, waited half an hour to have our order taken and that’s only because we managed to catch someone to ask if we could order, then had to ask twice for the bill so wasted another half an hour. Food was good although some items were overcooked.

    Really lovely food and great value for money in terms of quality and quantity received on their Sunday Roasts. Vibrant restaurant with a really good atmosphere. Only small downside was we had to ask for extra gravy and apple sauce twice as there were 6 of us dining and only received small pots. This place is busy for a good reason.

    Excellent service and the food was great. Only downside was the noise level very hard to hear from other side of the table. Apart from that 5 stars.

    Can't complain about anything, food was prompt, staff are friendly, atmosphere is cosy and food very tasty, large portions can be pricey but it's well worth it for the quality received. 5/5 all around

    Excellent food and good value, but over charged on a drink which was ordered and not delivered, but stayed on the bill. Did not notice untill we were at home. Shame, otherwise brilliant and will return again but look at the bill more closely. Became very noisy towards the end of our meal due to the restaurant being full.

    A delicious meal at The Lodge, I had the tofu pad Thai noodles that were very yummy. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. Portions were generous. Service was brilliant, the team were all very friendly. We had a lovely night, thank you.
