Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

    We have eaten there several times and you are never disappointed with the service and the quality of the food, 5 different meals all excellent.

    Sunday roast always a pleasure but a challenge to finish

    The roast dinners were poor. The roast potatoes were hard, the roast beef was very pink, fatty and sinewy, had to ask for steak knife to cut meat and still no good, therefore not eaten I complained and it was taken off the bill, but not good enough considering it was for a birthday.

    The staff were so fantastic with my mum … it was her 80th birthday …. They were so helpful with certain foods she was unable to eat …. Even the chefs made her a special gravy …. I would like to thank you for a wonderful time
