Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

    Great food as always, gave 4 stars as roast potatoes could do with some improvement and the treacle tart tasted of lemon curd! Will definitely be back though ☺️

    Once again another wonderful meal with excellent service delivered by all staff, overseen by George. Salhouse Lodge has never failed to deliver on quality, variety, price and customer service. Thank you again.

    Despite being asked about allergies and intolerances, one meal arrived with the ingredient one of our party was intolerant to. Following our main course half of the table was cleared in readiness to choose our deserts the we had to request the rest of the table was cleared following a long wait. Whilst the food is excellent we feel that the service does not complement this.

    We sat outside as it was a lovely day. The food was wonderful and the waitress was very friendly and efficient. Some places seem to forget you if you’re outside.

    Our second visit recently and both were amazing . The food is stunningly good ! Presentation is spot on . ( I would say the beef bourguignon is a bit too jumbled in the bowl , our elderly guest had trouble with no room to move things about , but still a stunning meal ) It’s not a cheap place to eat but we don’t want cheap and it’s reflected in the quality . You get what you pay for . Can’t wait to go back . FOH staff lovely
