Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

We were seated very quickly. Excellent service from beginning to end. The roasts were well presented and the portions were very generous. Yet another excellent meal at The Lodge

Service food and overall was excellent....only downside is the quickness of serving food. We had only just finished our starter and the main course turned up..I also heard people on next table complaining how quickly their main course turned up!!! When comic for a nice meal out its nice to relax and enjoy each course with time in-between to let each course go down.. however the staff were a breath of fresh air all very professional with a smile and please and thank you..which is very rare now days...well done management 😊 food really good and big portions

Food was good and service Bit pricey Disappointed that dogs are aloud into the restaurant where people are eating don't agree with this but I suppose its all about money ll The establishment was clean and tidy and staff pleasant

Sat outside as a lovely day. Great service from friendly and efficient staff. Excellent menu and gorgeous food. Recommend a visit. Will definitely be returning.

Our second visit since refurbishment. We were a party of four, family having travelled from Suffolk to join us. We all thoroughly enjoyed our choice of food-main course and dessert for us all, my Salmon encroute was amazing, desserts were good too but rather generous!!!

The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. The staff were delightful, friendly, nothing too much trouble. We love the ambiance of The Lodge and would highly recommend it.

Booked into the Salhouse lodge for dinner yesterday and had a wonderful experience. I messaged ahead and asked for a quiet table as my children are autistic and get a bit overwhelmed and that was all taken care of. No fuss. The children were very comfortable and we all ordered our food (fab menu) The food arrived and was absolutely spot on. The service was fantastic and the staff very very helpful. The ambience was lovely, very relaxed and everyone felt at ease which was definitely helped by the super friendly staff. The food was lovely we had the steak, fish pie and the Chinese ribs and pork, all first class and followed by some Biscoff cheesecake and brownies. Will definitely be back soon. The people who have taken this also run the recruiting sergeant which is another favourite of ours. They have bought the Salhouse lodge back to life and it’s great to see because it’s in such a beautiful setting. Thank you to all the staff for being so good at their job and making sure our table was looked after. Staff are what make the business at the end of the day and place has some of the best. Compliments of course to the chef as well ❤️

We love Salhouse Lodge , we have been on a number of occasions now food and service are always first class, on this occasion my husband had the plaice for a change but was disappointed, he had so many bones to pick out it has put him off. He said it was a very tasty meal with lots of flavours just so fiddly that he wouldn't go for that again. Mine and mother in laws was fine.
