The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

    The food was delicious as always, however we had very long waits for ordering and food delivery and the waiter/manager was talking very loudly a lot with the table next to us, which was distracting and it was hard to get his attention as a consequence. Disappointing after fabulous taster meals on 2 previous occasions.

    The moment we arrived the reception team helped to park us. The table team were excellent full of advice. The food was exceptional and great portion size. Only asked for extra gravy which arrived in seconds. Can not say enough how good this was

    What a fabulous lunch booked for my husbands birthday. A real treat. The staff were friendly ,professional and discreet. Will come again with other family members soon

    I wish there could be more places like this. Great food and service in a relaxed atmosphere for everyone from couples having a tasting menu, families with toddlers to 60th birthday parties. Everyone being looked after with a smile and efficiency underpinned with the best of modern dishes and pub staples.

    This was a return visit. Service from Lottie was exceptional. Great knowledge of wines and the offer of a tasting for one. Food was great. Will definitely be back.

    Without exception, our smaller plates (the Burrata and the trout) were outstanding. Really delicious! Our larger (main) course (the ravioli and the aubergine) were really nice and of sufficient size to say afterwards, ‘we’re full and have eaten well’. The choice of suitable accompanying wine- by-the -glass (often limited elsewhere when mostly full bottles are offered) was excellent. Our second visit and we’ll return.
