The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

It’s our 3rd visit and it never disappoints. The food is exceptional, the service impeccable and the ambiance divine! We were a little taken back at first when we realised the tasting menu was no Longer offered! But the staff helped us to choose a variety of dishes which made our experience bespoke! Will be back next time we visit Windsor!

Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere. Nice touches for the birthday member in our group. We love it there.

Disappointing this time but still worthy of 3 stars for the food quality. I usually give it 5. Sadly, this restaurant has decided to scrap its wine pairing menu which was a massive hit with locals and helped get it established. We were looking forward to it only to be told it was discontinued last week. The reason? To fit in with the other restaurants who don't have it. Weird. At least 2 other couples came in and ask for the wine pairing menu and were equally disappointed it had been scrapped. The windows were all smeared and need to be professionally cleaned. The pear trifle was really disappointing. It was mostly heavy cream and the glass was less than half full. The toilets have never been upgraded and has the same torn wall paper from 2 owners previous. Finally, the tax on customers for your charity raising has to stop. What an obscene practice. Customers come to eat and drink and to pay for that and the service. Adam, if you and your staff team want to raise money for charity go and do a mountain hike, marathon or sponsored silence...whatever you want but put the effort in, raise those funds with pride and don't dare add it to your customers' bills!!! I'd like to see your reaction if you have a pound for charity added to your bill when you next go to Waitrose!!! Look at Windsor Grill, another local favourite just closed - get ahead of the game in these tough times.

Adam’s food never fails to disappoint. They have stopped the Tasting menu but we created our own which worked perfectly. All the staff were friendly and service was efficient. For the quality of the dishes, this food is excellent value for money. The owner has a Michelin star so this is the standard that is being met. The cheese doughnuts, hash browns and steak tartare are a must AND don’t miss the chocolate and salted caramel fondant!!

So , the staff were brilliant very well trained . Food was great , thought the wine by the glass could be extended to new world wines . Lots of very small children which was challenging, but we did go early , overall I think you should have an area for people with children , and a space for people without children

Simply perfect. Absolutely stunning setting, incredibly warm welcome and the team even knew us from me calling to make an enquiry. Service and attention to detail was the best of any restaurant I’ve ever been to, honestly they were all out of the world and so friendly. The food was outstanding and worth every penny. I cannot find a single fault with our visit and we absolutely will visit again next time we come this way.
