The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

Without exception, our smaller plates (the Burrata and the trout) were outstanding. Really delicious! Our larger (main) course (the ravioli and the aubergine) were really nice and of sufficient size to say afterwards, ‘we’re full and have eaten well’. The choice of suitable accompanying wine- by-the -glass (often limited elsewhere when mostly full bottles are offered) was excellent. Our second visit and we’ll return.

Generally very good, we enjoyed the tasting menu and our night. Was let down when the kitchen forgot our dessert and we had to wait over 50 mins between main and dessert. They did kindly provide some discount for this inconvenience.

First time, we live 15 minutes away and didn't know it was there until I heard from a colleague. Very happy with our first experience - we'll be back.

We went for lunch for my dad's birthday, expecting to try the set lunch menu. Having looked at the full menu we all decided to get the tasting menu instead due to the great range of dishes on display. Luckily we'd skipped breakfast as the food was plentiful and delicious. The introductory snacks set the bar high and everything that arrived afterwards was equally excellent. Even the pre-dessert palate cleanser stood out. Service was great, and the restaurant is a lovely place to be. A superb experience.

Once again a superb meal. The food was all beautifully prepared and constructed. Our waitress was very friendly and personable. She carefully described every dish as it was presented. The wines in my opinion are overpriced, perhaps to make up for other costs. A meal here always feels expensive despite understanding the costs of skill, ingredients and great people. That said, every time we go, everything has been impeccable so I guess you get what you pay for!

Always receive a very warm welcome and attentive service from a great team headed by the lovely Josh . Menu offers great selection of very good dishes including vegetarian options Highly recommended

My vegan friend was not very happy with the variaty of the menu but I had the best Fish & Chips ever ❤ Thanks Adam H.
