The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

Join us Tuesday 19th November for our next collaboration dinner with the team at Brook House Fulham. After the great success of our previous dinners with some of our friends from the Top 50 Gastropubs, Chef Jonathan McNeil and Chef Steven Kerr have teamed up with Chef Martyn Young and Chef Kiran Jhukory to put together an indulgent tasting menu available here at The Loch & Tyne for one night only. The price of the ticket at £100 includes only the food - beverages, extras and service charge are not included.

Lovely informal layout and vibe. Warm welcome and sat at the table quickly on arrival. We expected more from the food. My beef wellington probably had less than 50g of beef in it surround by a good inch of mushrooms which dwarfed the steak. Possibly over seasoned - couldn’t really taste the meat. My wife’s would have liked a little more pork belly. The service was impeccable throughout. Very friendly and attentive.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making for an enjoyable afternoon spent with great food and friendly faces. Food good service poor. For a busy Friday night we don’t feel there was enough staff working. They had run out of a lot of spirits and cocktails. The staff didn’t check back to ensure everything was okay with our food and our table wasn’t cleaned between our mains and dessert. We also had to wait ages for the bill. Unfortunately this restaurant does not live up to Adam Handlings name.

An all-round delicious meal - from the melt in the mouth pork belly with interesting garnishes to the excellent desserts - a fabulous choclate fondant, for example. Menu blissfully short but packed with interest and imagination. Efficient and unobtrusive service. Although awarded a bib gourmand, I think the restaurant/kitchen deserves a Michelin Star. Worth the journey [a couple from Watford, a couple from Reading]. Thank you for an enjoyable experience

Great service from the moment we walked through the door. Food was delicious. We had the bread and chicken butter, black pudding bon bons, hake and beef burger.

Food was very good but the service was kind of all over the place tbh: no menus brought to our table (and yes this delay enabled the six people on the next table to order before us grr); a call on my phone from the front desk ten minutes after sitting down asking where we were (we’re here, you welcomed us ten minutes ago); bill number one was wrong, bill number two was wrong also (and I’ll no doubt have to keep checking and chase the refund which hasn’t appeared yet). We saw food being taken to the wrong table. And I’m still not sure whether fish and chips is £23 (as it said on the menu) or £35 (def not worth it) as the guy doing our bill thought it was….

What a wonderful Sunday roast we had today. Service was fantastic, food was delicious and I absolutely loved the thought that had gone into the kids menu. The staff couldn’t do enough for my daughter and nothing was a problem when asked. Fantastic wine list/cocktail list. We can’t wait to return.

Poor service. We waited 25 minutes before drinks order taken. Unprofessional waiting staff, plates handed across the table. Food very very expensive and average at best.
