The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

Amazing food and service. We had the tasting menu for my boyfriend birthday and we loved all of plates that came out. Would defiantly book again.

The food was absolutely amazing as per all of Adam Handling group we ve eaten in it didn’t fail to live up to his modern food bursting with flavour loved it

Excellent attentive but not intrusive service. The food as ever was of a very high standard for a pub. Well worth a visit. We will definitely return to try the autumn menu.

Great place with nice outdoor seating. Indoor is lovely too with a great atmosphere. The staff were attentive and helpful. Drinks were tasty. Food was delivered at a nice pace, well presented. All our food was extremely tasty, hot and delicious. All in all a very enjoyable evening

I'm delighted that the L+T is now open on Tuesdays, not that I need any extra reason to call in for lunch. The crab starter was delicious, such a great combination of flavours and beautifully presented. The belly pork was superb and as usual the service was exemplary (hats off to Lottie). It was also great to see Josh before he heads off for pastures new. All in all another faultless lunch - looking forward to my next visit in September.

The hash browns with caviar are to die for, as is the Crab cocktail. Excellent as always!

Very different experience from when it first opened & our first few visits. There are far more tables. It is far busier. Consequently there is less space, the chairs are no longer the armchair type that they were originally (as one example of how it feels different and less than it was). Our first table was situated in a place where servers for other tables stood by our table and handed food across us to other staff to place on other diners tables. It was quite loud also. Didn’t feel exclusive or special as it used to. If we had known that they had shifted strategy to go more brasserie-style on the menu & far more tables / diners per sitting we probably wouldn’t have gone for a special event. Food was lovely but menu choice wasn’t as good as our previous visits. Just feels less as an experience but the price point has remained the same
