The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

Absolutely outstanding as always!! We don’t visit as often as we like but always go all out with Snacks, Starters, Mains and Puds!! I think you’d struggle to find a better Sunday offering anywhere! Thank you! Darren and Charlotte! X

The food was a gastronomical delight. Tastefully presented and a wonderful fusion of different flavours. All the dishes were cooked to perfection. The service was entertaining and humorous. Would definitely recommend this establishment.

Beautiful location, friendly service albeit a bit ‘forgetful’ at times. Food was delicious.

We were greeted royally and sat at a lovely table. We ordered a few snacks, some of which came and then 3 of us ordered a starter and a main course and we were rather surprised when our 4 main courses were delivered before any starter! We then decided to pass on those starters which we had ordered. Lunch however was delicious, although my vegetarian friend was given a meat sauce to go with his carrot wellington. So a mixed bag

Food and service outstanding. Ambience is fair and some of the seats are not comfortable and need renewing. Advise asking for Section 1.

I felt quite disappointed as myself & partner rarely go out. We had been before and were impressed so thought we would revisit to celebrate my birthday. The table was crammed next to another set table f tables so felt like we were in the way. The service was very slow. It took a good 15 minutes for our drinks to appear from ordering them - they weren’t cocktails which I appreciate take a bit longer. It didn’t feel special at all which was a real shame. Not sure I will be returning as it was very expensive also.

Extremely difficult to say anything other than this a great pub restaurant. Some of the food is very good indeed particularly the array of smaller plates and bites. Staff and ambience is lovely. It is a little pricey for some things especially when a steak comes with nothing other than the steak which can take one single dish to nearly £80 when you order what are the essential sides. Almost all the wine was over £50 a bottle. Lovely wine but the mark up did seem high. It is still worth going - just.

Un ristorante con ottima cucina ed ambiente gradevole. Il personale che serve ai tavoli è molto bravo ed estremamente gentile. Forse i tempi di attesa un pelo lunghi, però il cibo li giustifica.

This was my second visit to the restaurant, and I will soon be going back for more. The staff are welcoming and fun, the food and drinks are excellent, the whole vibe is cool and relaxed whilst also being quite luxe. Such a successful concept.
