Whether you’re popping in for brunch, meeting friends for lunch or wining and dining someone special, the Littleton Arms is the perfect blend of contemporary chic and old English charm.
Our locally sourced food, innovative seasonal menus and friendly and attentive service have earned us our reputation as one of the best independent pubs in Staffordshire.
We are renowned for our selection of contemporary and traditional ales and craft beers, our hand-picked wines, and extensive selection of gin and cocktails.
If that seems too much to get through in a day then we recommend booking one of our cosy hotel rooms, which have been sympathetically refurbished to evoke the original Georgian coaching inn while providing all the comforts of a modern hotel.

None of us five diners really enjoyed our meals. The pasta was overcooked, the veg was cold, fish and chips lukewarm. We waited so long for the server to take our dessert order we gave up. We had been seated next to a large family gathering which included small children and the noise level was intolerable.

We were with some friends for a meal but there was a singer on and the sound sop loud that you could not hear speech on the table. Service was slow and we had to approach staff on a number of occasions to actually get served with drinks and sweets. Food was good and plentiful.

We were a party of eight, booked for 7pm, although some of the party did not arrive until 7:15. We ordered drinks, which arrived whilst we were viewing the menu. After ordering, we waited at least 45 mins for food to arrive. Standard of food was good, but service extremely slow. We had to ask for table to be cleared when we finished, we had to ask again for dessert menus. We ordered desserts, which arrived after 9pm. We joked we’d still be there for breakfast! We left at 10pm. 3 hours for two courses and no coffees, which weren’t offered anyway. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, and although the staff were friendly enough, the service was just appalling. We definitely will not return, and we will not be recommending to anyone else.

Not eaten here for a while and used to always give 5/5 but this time was such a let down. The service was almost non existent. No one came over for the drinks order, we had to find someone. Took ages for someone to come for the food order and then again I had to find someone to ask for the bill - and then again to pay. This was a Wednesday night and not at all busy. Everyone else had the same problem. The food was just ok and it's not a cheap place to eat so wouldn't bother again.

Fantastic sunday lunch, downside sticky tables, very small print on the wine list could not read it. Had to take a photo on my mobile phone and enlarge it. Maybe larger print would help tired eyes. Ran out of sauvignon blanc waitress brought an alternative wine to the table which was lovely but waitress did not know what it was. Again great meal would definitely return and recommend to friends. Wasn't asked during the meal if everything was OK, we were asked when the meal was over.

Whilst the food was good, the service was poor. The systems and processes were uncoordinated so there was a lot of waiting. The cost of some of the items was excessive, even in these times of high cost of living.

Very limited drinks options with no drinks menu. Ordered mojito but then were told ‘sorry we have no mint’. Eventually lemon and lime and then coffee arrived - lukewarm! Took over an hour for a simple charcuterie to arrive. We weren’t impressed by the menu anyway. At one point not a single table in the restaurant end we were in had any food. 2 tables walked out fed up of waiting. So sad as this was a fantastic restaurant with a large and varied menu cooked to order using local produce - well respected and one of our favourites. What has happened?!!! Hopefully this is a blip and Littleton Arms will return to its former glory. Will be keeping an eye and ear out for better reports as have no personal plans to return after yesterday’s unpleasant visit.

Lovely restaurant, the Sunday roast was amazing. Service was really poor. Walked in and ignored by 5 members of staff ) all teenagers). Then waited for the bill to be brought over and waited 10 minutes for that, while the staff were talking about tiktok and social media. Would definitely return and eat there again, but will be prepared that service may not be brilliant

I stopped going to the Little Arms because the menu was not very appealing. Currently, it's very much like you would get in many other similar establishments, so a little uninspired but good food no the less
