Nice food. Sadly ran out of sea bass very early in the evening. Linguine wasn't fantastic, haddock was delicious though. Friendly service.

When we eventually got seated we waited at least 15 mins until I had to get attention just for drinks and then at the same time we were asked if we were ready to order our meal. After another long wait we received our drinks. The Sunday roast its self was good and plenty full. We were asked if we would like a sweet menu after we finished our main, which we are still waiting for as the waitress never returned! We have been to the Lion a few times, but after this disappointing visit, we will not be returning.

Pretty standard meal, nothing special and staff really show you they do not want to work there or be there. ON the plus side the restaurant is nice and big.

We had been here before for a Sunday roast and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately this time wasn’t so good. The parsnips were undercooked, the pork belly was dry on the bottom with no crackling and there was hardly any gravy. The vegetable portions were smaller except for the carrots. The chicken was nice however. We did get more gravy and did tell the waitress and also when we paid both said they would tell the kitchen but offered nothing to compensate. So sadly I don’t think that we will be rushing back.

Really great food so lovely and hot when it was a cold and wet winters night. Great staff very attentive we all had different starters and main courses no room left for a desert im afraid.

My favourite Pub on the Broads. The Belly pork was the best I have ever had. Thank you. Excellent value for money.

We would definitely recommend this pub restaurant. Staff were very pleasant. Setting was lovely. We booked for 5 people for 1.30pm on a Sunday late September and were seated inside. It wasn’t too busy which was nice as we could have conversations without having to shout over others voices. The food was quick and well prepared and presented. Great beer too! We would definitely recommend.

We booked for Easter Day lunch… The restaurant seating had no atmosphere, candles not lit… no table cloths.. The table was dirty and sticky.. we asked it to be cleaned, and it was still sticky… we couldn’t lean on it at all.. It was cold in the restaurant, we left our coats on. The food was quite nice but nearly stone cold. Overpriced compared to the quality and atmosphere of other restaurants in the area. We had to queue to pay and couldn’t complain at the time at the bar was packed and staff had no time. Sorry guys but disappointing

I'm very sorry you was disappointed. We had a busy lunch so I'm sorry you found us to lack atmosphere. Our spray has eaten into the varnish we are in the process of sanding the tables. We don't light candles at lunch as the light can't really be seen. I wish we could have rectified the food, we'll replace meals if they aren't upto standard. We had a busy weekend & tried to serve people quickly. We'll always find time to come over. Again I can only apologies & hope you'll give us a second chance.

Was pleasantly surprised with how good The Lion was, great craft beer selection for a country boozer and the food menu was also very impressive. Very cozy and inviting inside, look forward to coming back in the summer as the outdoor space looked great too.
