I have been here a few times over the years and service has always been great. Unfortunately this visit was not great. I believe the there may have been new staff members on so understand being a little slower. We waited for around 15 mins for the menu after we had chosen our seats (had booked in advance ) After another 10/15 mins wait still no drinks ordered so had to order at the bar myself and ask for our food order to be taken. Food was slow coming out but it was busy so that was understandable. We asked one of the staff who served us fiod if we could get a jug of water for the table. We finished our meal and waited for around another 20 plus minutes to see if staff were going to come and take pudding order or deliver the water we had asked for. I then had to go to the bar to request the water and puddings, the lady on the bar said no one had requested water ? The food was lovely as always but it was a real shame the service was no where near where it should be or has been in the past. Hopefully this was just a one off as If the service was the same next time I would probably avoid.

Beautiful little find whilst visiting the area, food and service were excellent and staff all very friendly. Overall good value for money for a nice/special meal and drinks reasonably priced. Lovely outside area overlooking the river in a gorgeous little village. Would definitely recommend

The food was well cooked and presented. Couldn't fault it. Only problem was we had a dog and therefore directed to a different room, fair enough but there was no life in there, no bar, no music, very boring, much prefer a bit of background activity. Hey Ho thoroughly enjoyed the food. Thank-you.
