Portions a little small for mains, had fish n chips and pork loan, when cutlery came out no forks arrived for either of us just knives, we sat in garden with bridge and river views very nice location to be if weather permits.

food on a whole is usually excellent , but on this o occasion both of our steaks were chewy, and full of gristle. the chips were over cooked and my husband s were burnt. We didn't say anything at the time as the restaurant was busy but did email them the next day with no reply. Also while we were eating the staff started moving tables around the room getting ready for the next morning. We all thought this was un necessary as it was only 9 45 pm . so not even late. we decided not to stay in the restaurant and went into the lounge for a drink. Not sure why it was such a poor evening. very disappointed

Decided to try out the pizzas on offer on a Friday eve. Booked a table outside at 7.15 pm on the patio. The food was delicious but the service was terrible and for this reason we won’t be returning. We waited a while before anyone came to take our drinks order and we’re left outside with no service whatsoever after our food was served. The side door from the patio into the restaurant was closed and seat cushions were removed as we were eating. A big disappointment.

A lovely pub in a lovely location. We went for the pizza s and the service was fast and efficient with tasty food. Very accommodating for little children and we especially enjoyed the play area ☺️
