Saturday evening and restaurant was full However the friendly welcoming and down to earth service was excellent Which matched our food which was exceptionally flavoursum and delicious Would highly recommend to friends and family alike

If I could give more stars I would! We visited on valentines evening, had been once before and I have to say from the welcome to the incredible food and waitress that was super attentive (lovely Italian lady sorry didn’t catch your name) the whole experience was perfect for us. I have already spoken to 5 people this morning to tell them to go! Will be back!

Excellent food and service as usual. You can always rely on the Linny for quality food , well cooked and delicious! The old English filet steak just melts in your mouth and the tempura scallops on the specials menu were really well cooked.

Lovely atmosphere in this country restaurant. Am a regular. Plenty of choice on the menu and has daily specials. Staff friendly. Would recommend.

Excellent Sunday lunch today. They do two sizes and the smaller was more than sufficient.

It’s impossible to find fault with anything here! Staff work their socks off but always remain polite and attentive, food is out of this world - desserts especially!!! A traditional country pub with traditional good quality food and atmosphere - we love it here.

After a really long day, had a perfect ending at the Linny and always made to feel so welcome! They’ve also added to their dessert menu and the cookie dough is definitely the best I’ve ever had!!

The Lindy is without date one of the best dining restaurants in South Devon. We are lucky to live within easy reach of an establishment that not only offers true character but a standard of culinary flare, quality and customer service that one rarely finds. I believe it offers outstanding value to its customers that is priced fairly and gives reassured value for the charges. I have had the pleasure of choosing the Ali by on any occasion I have family or friends visiting and wish to give them a second to none dining experience. The website. provides interesting parties a sound insight to the seasonal and range of dishes offered at the restaurant and accurately presents the style and quality of one of our most assured and quality eateries in Torbay. It is also worth saying the level of service and care shown by the staff team is also outstanding.

Everyone in my party had Sunday roast dishes. Although one meal was incorrect this was addressed and rectified quickly, with minimal impact on our dining experience.
