The Library Wine Bar and Bistro is Wallingford's original town library. Built in 1899, it was passionately and lovingly restored back to its classic, architectural beauty in 2014.

My second time at the Library Wine Bar & Bistro and it didn’t disappoint. Food was great, something for everyone and decent prices. Our waitress Jessica was awesome. Will definitely be back.

My wife, Cindy, grew up in Wallingford and had visited the Library when it was a library. It was a nostalgic visit and exceeded our expectations. We fly home to NC tomorrow but may dine there tonight before going home. It’s worth a second visit!

First time dining here, we had been wanting to try them for a while and were finally in the area to do so. Decent amount of parking nearby. Our server, Deborah was great- very sweet and a good balance of attentive and timely which was appreciated since we had to be somewhere after. It looks nice inside but the weather was too perfect so we sat outside- good ambiance, fairly quiet but still a good amount of people out and about. Definitely louder inside. Lots of menu choices. The lobster roll was excellent- plenty of large pieces, super satisfied with it. The filet mignon came out medium well when requesting medium rare but they remade it and it was better. Not the best filet. The sides and drinks were good - we will try them again and hope we have more time to try other dishes.

There were 3 adults and a 4 1/2 year old. The childrens menu was excellent with small portion adult items and not the usual chicken nuggets and french fries etc. The adults had buratta and pulpo starters and filet, bucatini and shrimp and grits all were delicious and perfectly prepared. The Chilean Carmenere was superb. No room for dessert. Cant wait to return

We came for brunch, first time here. The building itself is fascinating, creating a terrific dining space. The buffet was ample with a good variety of items. The drinks are creative and generous. We were very happy!

Real fun restaurant. Old library converted into very nice restaurant. Second time we have been here. Food and ambiance and service is excellent. A lot of reasonably priced item too. Highly recommend for nice experience and still casual
