Award-winning Executive Head Chef Jamie Welch has created a new elegant menu for The Library featuring contemporary British dishes with a modern twist.
Freshly prepared by our creative pastry chefs, afternoon tea features reimagined classics including a delectable arrangement of cakes and pastries, sweet and savoury scones served with seasonal jams and clotted cream, and full flavoured finger sandwiches.

Expertly balances bright and zesty notes of Buddha’s Hand with enticingly rich notes of Natsu Dai Dai, subtly sweetened with Hirado Buntan. Food, service and location were fantastic. Unfortunately, the disabled access lift was out of action, however Omer was exceptional in his care of us and ensured we accessed the Library.

Excelente en todos los sentidos. Merece la pena para una ocasión especial o disfrutar de la experiencia del afternoon tea en un lugar elegante y especial rodeado de libros en estantería elegantes y espectaculares vistas al Támesis, con suerte hasta enfrente del Big Ben. Servicio atento y muy amable. Deliciosos todos los productos y buena variedad de tés e infusiones.

The best thing about the gluten free high tea was the view. The sandwiches were terrible I couldn’t even bring myself to take more than a bite. Not sure why they decided to swap out the regular sandwich flavors with weird things like beet or tomato sandwiches. Desserts were okay, but too much banana in everything. That’s such an acquired dessert taste it ruined the chocolate brownie for me. Excellent view of Big Ben though and the service was pretty decent.

Mentioned when booking food allergies anticipating that this would be catered for. On arrival this clearly want noted and one of our party could not eat all the food on offer. An alternative was hurriedly arranged but this was not as appetising. A shame as we have dined here before and enjoyed it

My friend and I had a WONDERFUL time. As Americans, this was the first time we had afternoon tea. We did the standard a la carte and fully enjoyed our time -- we even asked for additional sandwiches. The desserts were beautiful and delicious as well. Zero notes on the food. If we could give our server, Alessandro, more stars, we would. He was fantastic and attentive. We enjoyed his service a lot.

I asked for a window seat and I got one so happy. Brilliant venue eith friendly staff and worth it for the view.

We had a lovely tea. Our waiter was patient and explained everything to us well. The food, tea, & champagne were all delicious.

Such an incredible experience. The place is gorgeous. Staff is amazing and attentive. Food was wonderful and you can’t beat that view. A must for all visitors!
