The Landing at Champlin’s, a new seasonal restaurant, will offer fresh local cuisine set against the backdrop of the Great Salt Pond, perfect for an idyllic day on Block Island. Guests can choose from a selection of hand-crafted dishes such as New England clam chowder, fresh lobster rolls, steak frites, and more, paired with nautical inspired cocktails that can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors alongside the stunning waterfront views.

This was a last minute dinner plan after a major thunder, lightening and hail storm in the harbor. We needed to get off the boat, unwind and have a nice meal. The Landing delivered all that and more. The food was excellent and the staff exceptional!

Beautiful setting, overlooking the Great Salt Pond from the deck. We enjoyed all the food we ordered - special lobster arancini, Caesar salad, waygu burger, and mussels with chorizo (special). Thanks to Chef Phil! We also appreciated our attentive server.

Their mussels are terrific, chicken parm has a good lemon cheese sauce. Dessert - 😋 yum. View of harbor priceless

The food is very good, service is OK. They seem to be working on improving that aspect. IMHO this is one of the best restaurants on BI

This was our first visit to the Landing. It has a beautiful setting, and ur drinks, food and service were terrific. We will return.

Our dining experience at The Landing was fantastic. There are lots of windows to see the beautiful view. There was live music playing which added to the great ambience. Staff is friendly and very attentive. The food was beautifully prepared and scrumptious. We had a mussels appetizer special which was so tender. Entrees at our table were crab cakes with a sweet corn salsa, sea scallops in an orange sauce, salmon & Lobster Mac-n-cheese (hold the lobster). Everyone loved their meals. We highly recommended The Landing at Champlin’s Marina.

The food was very good but the inside bar and dining room are downright ugly. No pictures on the walls, no ambience. The tables are not set up to maximize space either. They should have never removed the outside bar overlooking the water. It was an awesome spot to have a drink. I tried to go here 2 weeks ago without a reservation and was told they were fully booked even though there was not one table seated inside. Last night I went with a reservation and decided to sit at the bar. A party of 7 came in at 8:38 and asked for a table and were turned away when tables could have been easily put together to accommodate them.

We do apologize for your perception! While we did turn away a 7 top (without a reservation), we were in preparation for a 14 top that came. With an 8 top down, and 14 on the way, add inclement weather, and we were unable to accomodate 20 mins before closing time. We are a small kitchen that prides ourselves on providing a great experience to our guests and do not want to sacrifice service or quality of food. We strongly reccomend reservations so that no one feels "turned away." I'm glad that you made the reservation and were able to dine with us and enjoy the amazing food. While the interior is still a work in progress, the bar, tables and chairs, wall paper, tile flooring, and deep navy paint is all new and we are still improving! Thank you for your feedback, we hope to see you again!

Great food. Service still needs work. Needs more 4 top tables. Little tables ok for cocktails but tough for meals.

Thank you for your feedback! We recognize that the outdoor space is limited but we do have plenty of larger tables indoors as well! We are more then happy to accomodate a larger table indoors if you would like. We are looking forward to seeing you again!
