We ordered the family roast dinner with sides for 4 of us and a small child. It was more than enough and we enjoyed it thoroughly - absolutely delicious. Will definitely be ordering this again. We have also had meals here previously and the burgers are some of the best we've had, along with the topped fries. Very good service from staff - polite and happy to help. Great place for us with play area for little one.

Ordered scrambled eggs on toast, when it arrived it had smoked salmon on it. Asked for a new one as am vegetarian. They took it away to the kitchen, then brought it back a few minutes later, saying it was a new one. But we found some small pieces of smoked salmon in the eggs, so they had obviously just taken the salmon off, even though they denied this. Took it back to ask for a new one, which eventually came, but none of the serving staff apologised or offered us a discount on our bill. Not great.

Service was perfect, they went the extra mile. Food arived early and was delicious. Looking forward to a return visit.

Another lovely breakfast. However this time (early midweek) we were the only customers. Lovely, friendly service and the menu choice for breakfast is really extensive. We had a friend with us who is gluten intolerant and this was easily accommodated

Lovey place and nicely decorated. Just service was not great. Ordered a cup of tea which didn’t come. We asked for our drinks and they returned again with everything but the tea. I just left it as was taking part in the bubble run and then didn’t have time. Food was lovely and well presented. After the bubble run we sat back down and had drinks. After ordering a lady came out with the bill and said you have to pay now. Which we were fine about she was just a bit blunt. We went to pay for our own drinks to which she said we then need to pay at the till. Seemed like an rude encounter for which she then could not facilitate. The company which came with me noted that it was a lovely place but the staff did not know what they were doing.

We had a very relaxed brunch at The Lamp Room at Betteshanger Country Park. I had the Eggs Benedict with a twist - spicy sweetcorn fritters, smashed avocado and chipotle; whilst my husband had sausage and scrambled eggs on sourdough. We were both tempted by the sweet options as well but were too full to have anymore. Plus you’ve got to love a pretty flat white and some cool decor. All finished off with a stroll round one of the routes of the park in the sunshine - perfect!
