You’ll love the dynamic, inventive, Brooklyn-inspired menu at the 120-cover Lair diner. The theatre-style kitchen and servery make this a busy, buzzing, interactive experience where you can see and sense and smell your food being prepared, in a way that heightens the anticipation and appetite. There’s something for everyone on the menu, including vegan-friendly options.

There’s an all-day menu as well as à la carte for lunch and dinner, and a full range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails.

Breakfast: 7-10am Monday to Friday, 7.30-10.30am Saturday and Sunday
Daytime menu: 11.30am through to 9.30pm
Afternoon Tea: 12-4pm
Dinner: 5.30pm to 9.30pm (last orders at 9.15pm)

Great venue, setting and staff. Food lacked flavour, whilst presentation made for some great pics that did not make up for feeling like I’d just paid £100 for a meal that had been made in an air fryer .

Despite it not being a Leicester tigers rugby game we were limited to the match day menu when we were seated for late afternoon lunch on Saturday at 4pm. Despite everyone being seated having a reservation they seemed very short staffed and I felt for the team. I booked ahead of time and checked it would be full menu being served as the match day menu was limiting for dietary requirements we have. The service was very slow, we waited 45 mins for our drinks and an hour for food, I felt sorry for the wait staff as they were clearly very stretched, the food was nice but I could only eat one thing on the limited menu and half of the plate I had to leave as it didn’t fit with dietary needs. The main menu had multiple options so if that had been offered I would have had lots of options.

Its a pleasant venue. Always nice to eat here for pre match food and their is a good atmosphere albeit quite busy and bustling plus its so close to the ground. Food we had was good and tasty and served in reasonable time. The staff always seem very pleasant but clearly are rushed off their feet. The same as our last visit, we ordered starters, last time the mains came and no starters, whereas this time only 1 starter was served. We shared and ate that assuming the other as to follow shortly but didn't. It was taken off the bill and no service charge was added. Seems there must be some issue with the process for this to happen twice in a row and probably needs looking into.

We booked this as a match day treat for my husband’s birthday. We were seated by a really nice young lady but unfortunately the kitchen let the experience down, we made the mistake of having sharing dishes to start but that led us not receiving our main course until 2.20 so from being there at 1 o’clock it was far too late and a bit rushed. There seemed to be people in the bar area ordering food as well so this added pressure on to an already disorganised kitchen, surely people who have made a booking such be priority,there was a man at the hot plate that I can only assume was the manager but he looked as if he was causing more confusion. The food was ok not particularly well presented just dumped on a plate quickly and the fries were not great my portion looked as if it had come from the bottom so was lots of bits. The young serving staff were very good but let down by management and the chef. We will probably come again as it is convenient for the match but not a great first impression

I was disappointed that the evening menu was not available. The food was mediocre and the meal was expensive - £73 for 3 mains and 2 drinks. The service was better.

I had to return my food as it came to the table cold. It was quickly replaced, the fish was ok.

Disappointingly the full menu was not available when we visited. Restaurant wasn't very busy, not quite the attentive service expected, considering how quiet the restaurant was. Despite these negatives the food was good, cocktails delicious and the restaurant is lovely. I would go again in the hope that the full menu is available next time and service will improve.

Good atmosphere in bar after England 'A' Rugby Team against Portugal. Sunday evening Dinner , good food, excellent service, a bit pricy but is a 4 Star Hotel. Excellent Breakfast with great choice.
