We went because we learned about it from whiskey wine and chocolate festival that was in Pittsburgh. We are really glad we went. The service was great. Our server Brandie did a super job all night and even helped us with a bottle to take home. Food was outstanding and we will definitely be returning.

Our dinner at LAB at Armen's Barrels last night was exceptional. The halibut with white wine burre blanc sauce, creamy risotto, and perfectly cooked asparagus spears were divine. The lavender lemon creme brûlée was the epitome of summer in a ramekin. Despite the hot kitchen and busy night, David Galiffa delivered an impressive meal.

Great meal, professional and friendly service. We had the cheese/charcuterie appetizer (cheese was awesome!), the steak (very good), and the “today’s special” bison rib eye (also great). Also had two cocktails, both very well done. All in all a great experience. If anything, music was a bit loud (we are the sitting right under the speaker though). Also, be aware that they are listed as a steak house a few places. There is only one steak on the menu (which was great), so if you come for that you might be disappointed. It’s more of a really good local vineyard restaurant.

The service, drinks, and food were phenomenal! The atmosphere is quiet and intimate. The chef even came around to the tables, introduced himself and checked in on how the food was. Highly highly recommend this place!

The cocktails and food were very good. The sea bass with parmesean risotto was excellent. Our server was pleasant and helpful, but the service was very slow, although the restaurant was not crowded. We liked that the chef came out to introduce himself. The prices are very high, similar to a downtown restaurant.

We love this restaurant and make it our go-to when we are in the area. The service is always friendly. The chef if frequently seen coming out of the kitchen to speak with the guests. The food is exceptional. We had the Elk and the Filet this time and both were cooked to perfection and delicious!

The Lab never disappoints. Cocktails were gorgeous and delicious - two whiskey sours, bees knees (the color on this one was stunningly lavender) & an espresso drink that I can't recall the name. Three of us got the Kobe burger and one of us got the elk - all were pleased. My husband reports the elk was tender and perfectly seasoned. The Kobe burger cannot be topped. Cooked to perfect medium, as requested, it was juicy and flavorful to the last bite. The frites were a lovely complement.
