Only came in for drinks this time. Were able to snag outdoor seating on the river, which was amazing on a night with beautiful weather. The drinks were fantastic, along with the noise level; making it very easy to communicate with my date. Most importantly, the staff was incredible. Will definitely be back!

All the dishes we ordered were delicious! HAND-CUT GARLIC FRIES gf,v CABBAGE gf, v GEM LETTUCES gf strawberries, toasted seeds, green goddess, fines herbes CRISPY CAULIFLOWER gf, v+ carrots, chickpeas, tamarind chutney, coriander chutney, mango, pickled red onion, herb salad The cauliflower dish was a huge tower of food! The presentation was excellent. I wish we had room for dessert. Next time! 😉 The food is a little pricey but we enjoyed the experience and the view.

You cannot beat The Kitchen outdoors on the patio in summer. Just a wonderful and relaxing summertime dinner. All of food items are super yummy and delicious. And the cocktails and wine options are great as well. Can’t beat relaxing on the patio watching the boats and all of the people. Highly recommended!

Piquant fresh well sourced well seasoned deliciousness delivered well! Great but pricey martini. Curious adventurous wine program! Will return!

Surprisingly nice ambiance for a River North restaurant--muted, warm, and down to earth. Also a surprisingly varied menu. We had lots of tapas--rolls, carrots, asparagus/avocado toast, crab fried rice, lamb aroyas, grilled oysters, corn, bib salad and rigatoni carbonara. Everything was great (the crab fried rice didn't really inspire. It needed a bit more flavor and was kind of clumpy.) Portion sizes were more substantial than I envisioned. There was a long shelf to sit at outdoors, which would be fun if you weren't in a larger group. Definitely a keeper.
