Welcome to our famous wood panelled dining room where you can enjoy a variety of dishes carefully prepared by the experienced award winning Chefs. Inspired by a love of modern British food, the menus are built with a unique variety using the best quality produce & ingredients, much of which is locally sourced.

Whether you join us for lunch or dinner our lavishly designed lounges offer an ambient, restful space to relax, unwind and look forward to the sumptuous dining experience and are perfect for enjoying the sea views.

Our Table D’Hote menu is served Monday to Friday midday until 2.30pm with evening service from 6.30pm until 9pm and Sunday 4.pm until 7pm. Our beautifully crafted A La Carte menu is served every Saturday from Midday – 2.30pm and 6.30pm to 9pm. Our famous Sunday lunch service is from midday until 4pm.

Very tasty meal in lovely surroundings. Waitress Jackie was very attentive as usual making it a pleasure to visit

Asked for a window table in main restaurant on booking . When arrived Danielle the manager said we would have to wait if we wanted to eat in main dining area or we could have the Tennyson room. I said the Tennyson room would be fine as didn’t want to wait . We were booked in at 2.30 . The supervisor came to take our order at 3pm And I asked why we had waited so long she said that we had requested a table in main restaurant. I tried to explain what Danielle had said and she was having nothing of it , very rude. We finally sat down at 3.10. We had to ask for bread for the table as it wasn’t on table - and throughout the meal trying to get anyone’s attention was very hard. Asked for mint sauce twice ,waited at least 15 minutes for them to clear our starters and then had to ask again for them to clear mains. It wasn’t particularly busy but you get a sense of avoidance by all staff to make eye contact there is no one overseeing the restaurant . Danielle was not to be seen the whole time we were dining with the exception of when the general manager came to eat. Not good enough , food average . Hit and miss every time we go as to whether we are going to get a good meal or service- there is complete lack of management in the restaurant, very sad was such a consistent place to eat previously

Lovely place to lunch, have been numerous times for the set menu which is very good value. The staff are lovely and very personable which makes the visit. Food is good value and a great choice on the menu. On this occasion the food was good but chips had been reheated which is very unusual as I went two days later and they were fab. Always busy even on Mondays when everywhere else is either closed or quiet. Would definitely recommend, I will be going again.

The chosen main meal was in our opinion undercoor which was brought to the attention of the waiting staff and by way of apology the desert was not charged for. The staff were very friendly and polite and furthermore we will return to the Kingsway as everyone makes errors and will probably learn from this.

Wonderful from the moment we stepped in the door! We received a warm welcome and were then directed to the lounge where our drinks order was taken and we perused the menu. The waiter transported our drinks through to the dining room remembering whose glass of wine belonged to each person (we all had the same). All three courses were absolutely delicious, decent portions, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and great value at £23. We were given a comfortable amount of time between courses to enjoy the view and converse without being overly bothered. Our only minor criticism is when offered the dessert menu 2 out of the 3 of us said we already knew what we wanted but it took a little too long for the waitress to return to take our order. However the overall experience was lovely and we will definitely return in the future. All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming, all areas were clean , presentable and inviting.

This was the first time I visited the restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised, food was great service was great, and amazing value for money, will be visiting again.

Excellent value for money with the menu and service was warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious couldn’t fault a thing. Lovely and clean crisp well set tables. Definitely recommend

We booked here for our anniversary meal. Specifically requested a window table far in advance. When we arrive on the day there are plenty of window tables but we aren't given one. Instead we have a table almost touching someone's 60th birthday table in a back room. It felt awkward and odd given there were so many tables in the main dining room. Male servers were lovely but female taking our order was borderline rude. We didn't order wine for the rable (im breastfeeding) but wereleft with lotts of glasses and she clearly didnt like that we didnt order wine. Feel let down by the whole experience
