The Kingstide is Daniel Island's first and only waterfront restaurant. Envisioned and executed by renowned Charleston-based Cortney Bishop Design, The Kingstide's rustic yet refined interiors offer a nautical nod that goes beyond coastal expectations The menu offers a variety of seafood dishes thoughtfully presented in both raw and wood-fired preparations. Sat down at 8pm, didn’t receive our entrees until just after 9:30pm. Took 20 min just to get our drinks. For the most part the food was good when we finally got it, but one person in our party got a salad with shrimp and the shrimp wasn’t even fully cooked. We go here regularly and it usually is not like this, but we were disappointed with the quality given the price.

I hate to hear we did not love the shrimp. It is a local shrimp that has been pickled right here in house. Please let us know next time you come in so we can take care of it before you leave. The fried calamari and Caesar salad is delicious! We got the Kingstide tower and it was actually very filling. Lots of food on the tower, so worth the price. Great ambience and a beautiful boardwalk right outside!

Over-priced for what you get. The food was above average but not worth the premium price you are being charged. We had the hush puppies which lacked proper seasoning. Think salt. The ceviche was fresh but the fish was in large thinks and it would have benefited from smaller pieces. My husband had the swordfish special and said it was fresh, light and great. We also had the low country chowder that had a hint of smokiness but the potatoes were undercooked. Dessert was the best. Blueberry Lemongrass tart with vanilla ice cream.

I am glad you loved our seasonal fish dish, the swordfish. We change that up seasonally, so you be sure to come back and see us again for that. The dessert course is my favorite course personally. Beautiful ferry ride from downtown to Damiel Island and then a beautiful waterfront location to dine! Great wines, cocktails and the food!!! Never disappoints!

Had a fabulous anniversary dinner at the main floor Kingstide. Loved our very fresh food and delicious cocktails. Our server made our special night wonderful with complementary champagne and sorbet dessert. We loved the fresh oysters and ceviche. The key lime pie is a must have as well! I would highly recommend their bar staff as well. We thoroughly enjoyed a martini and Manhattan. We can't wait to return.

Excellent dining experience- our favorite during our whole trip to Charleston this week. The restaurant feels loud as you walk through, but after you are seated, it’s not bad at all. The taste of everything is exceptional! I had scallops and then blueberry lemongrass pie for dessert. Fantastic

Food was so good! We had the octopus and the ceviche for apps. Swordfish for dinner as the seasonal fish. Service was best we’ve had in Charleston so far. Would definitely eat here again.
