The Kingstide is Daniel Island's first and only waterfront restaurant. Boasting a pristine setting along the Wando River's meandering waterways, the beautifully appointed two-story space features an abundance of windows that maximize natural light and picturesque views. Envisioned and executed by renowned Charleston-based Cortney Bishop Design, The Kingstide's rustic yet refined interiors offer a nautical nod that goes beyond coastal expectations The menu offers a variety of seafood dishes thoughtfully presented in both raw and wood-fired preparations. Inspired by the beautifully simple flavors of the sea, The Kingstide partners with local and regional fisheries, farmers, and purveyors to showcase the Lowcountry's bounty through fresh, seasonally driven cuisine.

Wonderful service and the food was delicious!!! We arrived early and walked the riverfront, just a beautiful location!

Food was delicious but prices high and service subpar (multiple waitstaff yet slow service and attendance to detail). View outside was lovely.

Great service and ambiance. I had the low tide seafood tower. 3 of the oysters had broken shells in them - how is that even possible?

Thank you, Scott, for your review. I am happy to hear that the service and the ambiance was great during your dining experience with us. The low tide tower really is great for that fresh raw bar option. I am so sorry to hear that there were shells in a few of the oysters, I do hope that we can get you some more fresh oysters on the house without the shells. You be sure to let me know the next time you are in, and we can take care of that for you. They do shuck them right in house. Also, we do half off oysters on the half shell on Tuesday evenings from 4 to 7pm. The food was incredible! We had the octopus, squash, hush puppies, and carrots to start, all of which were cooked perfectly and had complexity of flavor. The scallops, which I had for my entree, were melt in the mouth. This place is not to be missed!!!

This place was quintessential coastal vibes! Good eats, good wine, and good times! This may sound crazy, but we could have eaten 100 plates of their roasted carrots. If you don’t get them, you’re missing out. We will be back on our next girls trip!

My mom and I have a date here each month to catch up and every visit we leave even more impressed and in love than the previous time. The service is outstanding, love the vibe and the food is delicious. Also love the menu changes seasonal. You have to order the cauliflower and crab fried rice!

The food is unique and very over priced. The location is amazing and the building is beautiful, but the menu and pricing is easily the worse out of hundreds of restaurants I’ve had the pleasure to visit. I Would not return.

We had an exceptionally good meal and overall experience at Kingstide last night. I have eaten there several times and always been very satisfied, but last night was especially good. I had two guests with me from England, so first time at Kingstide, and one was celebrating a birthday. The restaurant was very busy due to a nearby event in the park and they were serving a large group of 20 who has just arrived. Despite the fact that all dining areas ... upstairs, downstairs and outdoor patio ... were full we received all the attention we needed from seating to when we left. Between us we had the swordfish special, the roasted half chicken and the pasta Nero along with Brussel sprouts and seasoned fries. Every plate was perfect, beautifully presented, hot, and tasted amazing. The service could not have been better including a brief visit from the manager to ensure we were satisfied with everything amidst a very busy evening for the restaurant. Highly recommend Kingstide !

The restaurant was out of most all wine we attempted to order. It became easier to have the server tell what they did have rather than us making selections. Server did the best he could. Have ordered the roasted carrots before, in the past they were a huge hit. This time they were underdone, unattractively presented and not very appetizing. Expect better for the price.

John, thank you for your feedback. We are just in process of revamping our wine selection and I am so sorry to hear that you were here on an evening with low inventory. We have just added many more to the list. Now that we have updated and restocked, I do hope that you make it back in. We have half off bottles of wine on Sundays as well. I am so sorry that the carrots were not up to standard. The carrots happen to be one of my personal favorites as well.
